About Tom...

In 2011, Tom started his career in the radio industry with a small community radio station, called Somer Valley FM. Starting in 2011 with a 6 - 10 week training course on how it all works.
In 2011 Tom did a work experience course with the station and produced a radio programme called Live @ 5 that broadcasted on a Thursday evening, Tom did a feature about the local TESCO doubling the size of its Old Mills Site store. Tom got voices from the local stores and local people and what affect it would have on the local community. Tom also got a comment from the TESCO store manager to explain herself.
In 2011 Tom signed up to present a small feature fortnightly on a Wednesday with Leah Smith, for a Drive time programme on a Wednesday at 5pm. In late 2011 and early 2012, Tom was working on a small feature called Teen Spirit with Joy who fronted the monthly programme on the airwaves. It had a team of 5 people presenting the progamme including Joy providing the subjects.
In 2012, Tom and the Somer Valley FM team went down to help out in the Battle of the Bands in Weymouth, part of the Olympic Games 2012. The Battle of the Winds were a team for the Sailing competition in 2012. Somer Valley FM went backstage of this major event and has many photos of this wonderful event,
In 2012 Tom and two others re-launched the Teen Spirit brand, and for several months Tom hosted several shows before leaving in December 2012, during 2012 Tom worked on several pilots including Tom Talks Soap,
In Feb 2013, it was confirmed via Social Media pages that Tom Talks Soap would launch its own stand alone programme, and as of 2013 has broadcast on a weekly on a Thursday evening at 5pm, and has only ever been of the air twice.
In 2014 Tom Talks Soap celebrated one year on the airwaves, and in August 2014, was joined by a new trainee presenter called Aaron. In December 2014 Tom Talks Soap on 18th December, broadcasted its last Episode of 2014. It will return on Jan 8th 2015
In Jan 2015, Tom Talks Soap returned with its first programme of 2015, with a new layout and new features, Aaron continued to join Tomon a Thursday and has been a regular since joining in the summer of 2014.
In 2015, Tom re-focused the Tom Talks Soap by re inventing the programme to The Tom Talks Show with Tom Bradey and Aaron Hooper. Broadcasting in the same timeslot, re-branding in April 2015.
In 2016, The Tom Talks Show is a year old and Tom has recently celebrated being with the radio station for 5 years! A big achievement!
Now in to 2017, the Radio presenter celebrates 6 Years with Somer Valley FM. Broadcasting live every evening from 6pm onwards on the station.
The Tom Talks Show recently interviewed Hunter and The Bear and Also West End Star Ben Purkiss in two exclusive interviews.
Since 2018, we have been growing the programme ever since, we now have recorded a special LIVE Lounge episode with 2 stars of Bat Out Of Hell The Musical: Rob Fowler and Sharon Sexton.
