Wednesday 24th October saw myself head up to London to see a show called Mythic, a new musical that is out of this world,

The show runs until 24th November, and shows each night at 7:30pm with afternoon performances at 2:30pm on Wednesdays and 3pm on a Saturday.

The running time is 90 minutes meaning there is no interval, and to be honest it works so well as a 90 minute format...

Now, from Memory, I believe there is something like 17 songs, thats 17 songs in 90 minutes, thats impressive!

Story: Well, From what I see, its about a mother and daughter, and the daughter wanting more Independence from her mum, and see what the other gods are and explore... However the mother, doesn't want that and tries to stop her... Let's say, she gets to the other gods, and falls in love with a Bad boy called Hades (played by Michael Mather), and finds out what the underworld is like... whilst spreading some goodness...

Vocal performances on this show are outstanding and incredible, its a high energy fun filled and hilariously funny performances, along with some amazing costumes (specially Michael Mather's!).

The show features a familiar face to those who are fans of the original casting of Bat Out Of Hell The Musical, when the show was in Manchester/London (Coliseum) and Toronto, Tim Oxbrow, who plays Zeus, his character likeable, and funny, now its my first time seeing Tim in a show, and have heard so many amazing reviews; His voice is on top form, and really plays the character amazingly.

Now, as you know, I am a radio presenter and am into my sound and lighting, and must say a big well done to the guys of this production who have done the lighting, its incredible, the set and the lighting to go with the show is outstanding - it really captures the performers facial expressions, and a bonus, from where I was sat is that I normally wear glasses when I go to the theatre as I struggle to see some of the performers faces, normally from where I am sat to the lighting, and the lighting in this show was done so well I actually didn't need them!

Now, I've been to theatres that have very bad acoustics and can hardly hear the performers, but this theatre is great as its a reasonable sized venue, but the sound travels really clearly, and you can understand and hear each performer - which in some venues it can be disrupted as it can be really loud! But this was perfect! Not too loud, and not to quiet!

Overall all, I'd strongly recommend this new musical to anyone! Its incredible, and really deserves the 5 star reviews I've been seeing and reading so far! - I've loved every minute of it, I started off thinking... I'm not sure, and by the end of it, it was "Can i see it again", and on that note... I might, as a friend who I was talking to said he may come along and see it too!

5/5 Stars my rating! Go and see it, its on until 24th November 2018.
